Ping services allow you to automatically notify blog directories and search engines that your blog has been updated. This let people know about your blog post in return you can get lots of quality traffic and valuable links. What we have to do is just ping these pinging services as make a new post each time on our blog. It takes few seconds to few minutes to complete the process
For Bloggers
Blogger doesn't provide automatic ping updating as wordpress till date. So you have to rely on manual pinging. Pinging service like Autopinger, Pingoat & Ping-O-Matic pings multiple proprietary ping servers and doesn't require an account. Whereas ping service such as Blog Flux requires registration and you your blog should be listed.For Wordpress Users
Modifying ping list for Wordpress Users
1. Log onto Control Panel2. Click on the Options tab
3. Then Writing tab where you can see Update Services box at the bottom.
You can add all the pinging services' ping URL to it. By default, Ping-O-Matic's ping services is already there. The more the ping list, chances are there that you receive more & more traffic from those sources.
